Design and Planning of the interiors and the craftsmanship of this small coffee joint in Mulackstr. 26, Berlin Mitte.

We find a challenging initial situation: With the facile means and resources a lean coffee place with minimal footprint had to be created.
Mission statement was to create a cozy and warm, yet simple atmosphere that would not look overly clean and new. Teh spatial program should also reflect the neighborly atmosphere of the Mulackstraße.

It became obvious that the separation of client and workspace had to be lifted by moving the counter around, facing against the wall. Like this the guest and the barista will be on the same side of the counter.
Through creating this unique situation a lot of footprint can be saved and it spurs a more homely relation to the place and staff.

All the technical demands and equipment had to be accommodated and packed on this one small piece of furniture. As a speciality there is an integrated rack for coffee filters to brew some coffees simultaneously the classical way.
