CRNKL!
For the launch of the Create Berlin products weltunit designed a lampshade in cooperation with Flip Sellin of COORDINATION, Martina Zeyen and Ulrich Merz: CRNKL!
The lampshade CRNKL! is a scarf-size piece of recyclable spunbounded fabric with a grid of colored seams and embedded micro-magnets.
CRNKL! can be added to the typical bulb/wire thingy that dangles from the ceilings of a lot of just-moved-in-homes and it will practically render any shape imaginable.
This product makes an end to naked bulbs, that people keep looking at for months after moving, but it can only be used for fluorescent bulbs or LED bulbs.
CRNKL! is not the average designers lampshade, but more of a call for action to be your own designer. You an hang, drape or clip this lampshade around anything you have, without pre-determining the final form. The cold fluorescent light will get a warm tone and will be well diffused.
Multiple CRNKL!s can be joined to larger formations that will also cover long fluorescents or a bunch of bulbs.
CRNKL! comes without bulb or cord, and can thus be shipped very easily in a flat box.
